Ingredients

Scale

Lemon Balm Tea:

  • 23 tablespoons fresh lemon balm leaves (or 1 tablespoon dried)
  • 8 ounces hot water
  • Lemon slices (optional)
  • Natural sweetener like honey or stevia (optional)

Lemon Balm Infused Water:

  • 5 fresh lemon balm leaves
  • 5 cucumber slices
  • 34 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 quart of cold water

Optional Add-Ins for Both Recipes:

  • Ginger
  • Turmeric
  • Lemon zest or juice
  • Peppermint

Instructions

For Lemon Balm Tea:

  1. Boil fresh, filtered water and let it cool for 1 minute to avoid damaging the herb’s delicate compounds.
  2. Place lemon balm leaves in a teapot or cup.
  3. Pour hot water over the leaves. Cover and steep for:
    • 5–7 minutes (fresh leaves)
    • 10 minutes (dried leaves)
  4. Strain the tea and add optional lemon slices or sweetener to taste.
  5. Enjoy warm or chilled.

For Lemon Balm Infused Water:

  1. Combine lemon balm leaves, cucumber slices, and mint leaves in a large pitcher.
  2. Fill with cold water and stir gently.
  3. Let the mixture chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to infuse.
  4. Serve cold and enjoy throughout the day.

Notes

  • Store fresh lemon balm leaves by trimming the stems and refrigerating them in water or wrapped in a damp paper towel.
  • For long-term use, dry the leaves and store them in an airtight container.
  • Make lemon balm ice cubes for convenience by freezing chopped fresh leaves in water.
